FFXI Ninja Final Fantasy XI

The master of stealth and Ninjutsu, the FFXI Ninja is a cold and hard slaughtering machine. It is an advanced job, so you must have a level 30 and complete Final Fantasy XI Ninja Flag Quest to take up the job in the first place.

FFXI Ninja Advantages

The FFXI Ninjas have a unique ability to fight with two weapons at a time. Consequently they are a doubly dangerous foe.

Stealth is their forte. They can increase their own stealth and enfeeble the enemy using a vast assortment of abilities. They don't need MP to accomplish the goals similar to the Mages, they use the special Ninjutsu capability for that.

Final Fantasy XI Ninjas are a sneaky group, a ninja can slip past opponents and guards quite unnoticed and deal the heavy damage exactly where it matters.

If you are still not satisfied, we can add that the ranged attack of the FFXI Ninjas is only second to the Rangers and their weapons cache isn't a small one either.

FFXI Ninja Disadvantages

A FFXI Ninja's life style isn't for the faint of heart. Each time you use Ninjutsu abilities it costs you one shehei, and as they pile up, the costs of being a FFXI Ninja jumps you in the face. To tackle the ungodly prices though, you can take up crafting so it won't he half as tough on your pocket.

Ninjas in an FFXI Party

Their agility and ability to land blows quickly makes them too hot to handle for most enemies, however it is their ability to do blink tanking that benefits the party most.

Aided by Ninjutsu abilities, they can cause some hefty direct damage to their enemy in addition to making them vulnerable to elemental magic. This ability comes in really handy when you have a smart Black Mage on the party to cash in!

Part-time Ninja

FFXI Ninja with a Ranger sub job would set a battle field alight with the ranged attacks, but gosh their equipments are pricey so try this one at your own expense (ignore the pun). Can't find a cooler sub job than that though.

Ninja/Black Mage is a possibility though it would be preferable if you just combined well with a Blm in a party rather than try to do it all your self.

A Warrior sub job would be great one for blink tanking and partnering a Black Mage in a group.

The FFXI Ninja's Race Issues

Race isn't a problem with Final Fantasy XI Ninjas, they value agility so a high rating in that department doesn't hurt at all. Mithra and Taru make great Ninjas in Final Fantasy XI, but with a low HP the Taru aren't well suited to close combat. Galkas might find more problems fitting into the Ninja suits rather than having problems in fighting, so every race can make it as a FFXI Ninja, just not equally well.
